Silver Creek Orchards
Silver Creek Orchards, Inc. located in Nelson County Virginia, is owned and operated by the Flippin Family. John T. Morton began the farm in 1954. After operating the farm as a hobby, John Morton turned the management over to his grandson, Bill Flippin. What was once a hobby for John Morton quickly became a livelihood for Bill Flippin
Bill has since retired and now his daughter Ruth, and his son-in-law, John Saunders, manage the farm. Silver Creek Orchards raises about 25 varieties of apples as well as wine grapes that are sold to Wineries in Virginia and North Carolina. Silver Creek also runs a cow calf operation.
Through all of this diversity Silver Creek strives to produce the best quality products for the consumer to enjoy.
